X Marks the Spot

Bryant Park is one of those places that seems to transform itself every day.  Today, as I was exiting the ice skating rink (which only has 4 more days to live this year) I noticed this structure under construction.  I have no idea what it is and was rushing back to work so I didn't stop to ask.

Who knows what I will find tomorrow?

It's Not Too Late for a Snowman

He really is that big.  I can't even imagine how they built him.

One More Time

There were at least 2 feet of snow on the picnic table.  Everyone just seems so resigned to the fact that we are buried and more is on the way.

On the positive side - I did make it to work today and the commute was incredibly easy.  That had much to do with the fact that most of the authorities urged people to stay home and they listened.  I was the only member of my group in the office today.

and then it snowed again

Just to remind us that, even though the ground hog saw his shadow around here yesterday it is still winter, it snowed around 10 inches here today.  It was by far the prettiest snow of the season.  It was wet and heavy and a real chore to shovel.  We were away for the day and had to shovel our way into our house.  It was a good thing that we took our shovel with us.

Booties

This poor guy may appear to look ridiculous but he was really quite proud of himself.

After many weeks of frigid weather, Ground Hog Day gave us a taste of what we can look forward to in the weeks to come.

FYI, I hear there is a big football game going on a few miles from here.  I hope they are enjoying themselves.  At least it didn't snow!
